Estúdio Carmine — Mirage
Mirage is a portrait of Estúdio Carmine, where five generations of woodworking meet contemporary design. Shot on a single roll of expired 16mm, the film follows Tiago Datti and Fernanda Maleski as they shape Brazilian wood through memory, craft, and a deep respect for the material itself.
A dark still life — a ceramic vessel with a draped cloth and a mossed stone on low wooden tables, a dark form on crumpled paper alongside

A single red anthurium flower glowing against a black background

Close-up of the cut end of a log, its grain lit warm against black

A pale grey stone balanced on a dark dome against a grainy field

A backlit console of sculptural vases and a glowing lamp, a chili pepper and a figure's silhouette to one side

An abstract close-up of blue-grey folds resembling a rolling sea

A brown vessel of white flowers and a dried branch on a plinth against black

Overhead — a wooden vase with craspedia stems beside a speckled cup of coffee on a carved blue-grey table

Sculptural wooden furniture and objects in raking sunlight, a carved disc lamp and a cocoa pod on a round table

A wider view of the furniture set in raking light, a figure's shadow cast on the wall behind
